Financial markets will focus mid-week on the minutes of the US central bank’s March 16 monetary policy meeting.
In particular, they should provide details on the pace at which the Federal Reserve plans to reduce its balance sheet.
Economists at Barclays Research expected the Fed to hit a monthly liquidation pace of about $80 billion after just a few months.
Barclays was also looking for clues about the Fed’s views on downside risks to the economy and the benchmarks it used to determine the pace of interest rate hikes.
For us, the only economic report to be published is IHS Markitconstruction PMI for March.
In the European Union, investors will keep an eye on German factory orders figures for February.
Speeches by European Central Bank Vice-President Luis de Guindos and its chief economist, Philip Lane, are also scheduled.
Further ahead, rate officials in New Delhi are due to meet to decide monetary policy, with the consensus for no change.
